As you may know, I am a short track speedskater with the ambition of making it to the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. I am 22 years old and from Fairfield, CT where I trained with the Connecticut Speedskating Club. After highschool I moved out to Salt Lake City, UT where I train on the US National Team.
With Olympic trials right around the corner, in December of this year, my training and equipment are more important than ever. This doesn't leave me with a lot of time to work, and while my parents do as much as possible to support me it just simply isn't enough. With that said, after about 5 years on the same boots its time for a new pair and unfortunately the cost of new boots is around 2,000 dollars. This combined with training and living expenses is why I need your help!
Why am I worth it? Ive been competing in the world cup circuit for the past three years. This past year my teammates and I set the American record for the 3,000 meter relay. Ive consistently been finishing in the top 20 at the world cups this season in the 1,000 meters and had a 7th place finish in the 500 meters at a world cup in China. I always strive for greatness, and I will work as hard as I can until I make my olympic dreams reality. So lets get together and make them happen!
